Beyond the Ice Cream Cone: The Whole Scoop on Food at the 1904 World's Fair

This program on the history of food at the 1904 World's Fair springs direct from Pam's highly successful book debut in 2004 - timed to coincide with the centennial celebration of this landmark event. Filled with over 150 slides of original photos and items from Pam's collection, her program comes alive with the visuals of time immortalized in the famous Judy Garland movie, Meet Me in St. Louis.

True to Pam's speaking style, she can even customize her program on the story of food at the Fair for her audience-educators, farmers and culinary enthusiasts. Even chemical companies get special attention with stories they can relate to in regards to the Fair! All will delight in tales of food fights, traditional drinks and fares and hear the truth about 100 year old food myths.

Pam's expertise on this topic led to her contribution and inclusion in the documentary, The World's Greatest Fair. In 2005, Pam won an Emmy nomination for her writing contribution to this Emmy award-winning documentary. Additionally, Chef Alton Brown from the Food channel invited Pam to dispel famous myths in his own documentary, Feasting on Asphalt.
